In the scene when Blake finds a raft to cross the lake before entering the raft head to the far left and start swimming hugging the wall if you do it correctly you will find a small island-ish place with a bed and a note the note confirms that the microwaves are the cause of the light beam in the note this person also references Murkoff employees leading me to believe that there were volunteers who lived amongst them to see if sane people would also get affected by the light beams which in my opinion is why Blake saw a baby you can see him going insane throughout the game aswell if you watch the recordings that you get near the end you will notice that Blake slowly starts refering to Lynn as Jess (he even corrects himself in one of the scenes) than he will start talking about things that happened in 4th grade (he says "we just need to find an adult to get help"in one of the recordings ) he even notices that he is starting to "lose it" this might bethe reason why Blake and Knoth sees a baby they were exposed to the Project Walrider too muchĪfter thinking about this I asked myself "But how did they manage to start Project Walrider in Arizona at the first place?"Īfter Murkoff gets exposed and loses nearly everthing they had in Mount Massive they chose a person who believed that Walrider was God really strong that person being Papa Knoth and then convinced him that he was chosen to spread the word of their gospel so they moved from Colorado to Arizona and let Knoth gain more followers then with the support knoth got they built Temple Gate and started worshipping Walrider as their God which is a great way to experiment with nightmares and hallucinations (there are notes refering to this aswell people seeing nightmares of them killing children and then waking up lustful being one example) since they can just call it God's workĪnd that is all I have to say remember this is just a theory so it can be wrong and If I missed anything and you can debunk this theory then show me.
"Already more than seven female employees and patients had reached fictitious half-term pregnancies in a matter of weeks before miscarrying the non existent children, five of them fatally" does that ring a bell? Lynn says there is nothing there when she gives birth moments before dying this document also states that people who were effected carried non existent children and five of them died which leads me into thinking that the baby is not real and here is why I think that Blake saw a baby:ĭuring the events of Outlast 1 Miles got insane and started losing his sanity(if you listen to how Miles breathes throughout the game you will notice that he starts to breathe more calmly as he reaches the end) more and more as he was exposed to the Walrider Project (also take note that Walrider was worshipped and was seen as the god in Outlast) so it could be that after everything went down in Mount Massive survived scientist were ordered to continue Project Walrider in a place far away from Mount Massive to not attract any attention that place being Arizona there is proof that Murkoff is behind the light beam So first off the question that alot of people are asking was the Baby actually real? Both Father Knoth and Blake saw the Baby but Lynn said there is nothing there so who should we actually believe? Lynn or Blake and Knoth now if we go back to Outlast 1 there is a document that might relate to this the name of the document is "Gender selection in Mount Massive Contractors" in this document a guy talks about Project Walriders effects on female workers in Mount Massive which goes like this After finishing Outlast 2 I was shocked, the ending did not explain anything and just left us with more questions rather than giving answers Was the baby that Lynn gave birth to real? Did Blake survive? How does Murkoff tie in? So I dug deeper replayed O2, O1 and Whistleblower all over again collecting all the documents and recordings and I've come up with some really interesting things about the plot
